Selected 10th overall in the 2008 NHL Draft, Cody Hodgson played six NHL seasons with the Vancouver Canucks, Buffalo Sabres and Nashville Predators. A former captain of Canada’s National Junior Team, Hodgson was recognized for his offensive skill and leadership throughout his career.
Terry Ryan
Terry Ryan, drafted 8th overall by the Montreal Canadiens in 1995, makes his Hockey Night in Brampton debut with a powerful blend of grit, charisma and community pride. A celebrated figure in Newfoundland hockey and a fan-favourite across Canada, Ryan is known for his physical play, infectious energy and vibrant presence both on the ice and in the media. His passion for the game and larger-than-life persona promise to ignite this year’s all-star lineup. Beyond the rink, Ryan has gained a new wave of fans as a breakout star on the hit hockey comedy Shoresy.
Mason Zebeski
Zebeski wrapped up the 2024–25 season with the Brampton Steelheads, registering 18 goals and 36 points across 58 games. Known for his gritty play, physical presence and leadership qualities, Zebeski was invited to the Pittsburgh Penguins’ 2025 Development Camp as a promising two-way forward.
Brayden Gillespie
Gillespie starred as the starting goaltender for the Guelph Storm in the 2024–25 OHL season, posting a .908 save percentage and a 2.87 goals-against average in 42 games. Praised for his quick reactions, composure and ability to read plays, he’s considered one of the OHL’s top goaltending prospects.
Mark Giordano
Mark Giordano is a veteran NHL defenseman, Norris Trophy winner and former Toronto Maple Leaf. A Toronto native, Giordano spent much of his career with the Calgary Flames, where he served as captain, before becoming the first captain in Seattle Kraken history and later joining the Maple Leafs. Known for his leadership on and off the ice, Giordano was named the NHL’s top defenseman with the James Norris Memorial Trophy and was also recognized with the Mark Messier NHL Leadership Award.
Curtis Joseph
Curtis Joseph, affectionately known to hockey fans as “Cujo,” is one of the most recognizable goaltenders in Canadian hockey history. The former Toronto Maple Leaf played more than 900 NHL regular-season games during an accomplished career. At Hockey Night in Brampton, Joseph will take on a different role, leaving the goalie equipment behind to join the action as a skater.
Gabriel Chiarot
Selected by the Vancouver Canucks in the 2024 NHL Draft, Chiarot played the 2024–25 OHL season with the North Bay Battalion, where he posted 22 goals and 47 points in 61 games. A smart, reliable two-way forward, he continues to rise as a strong prospect with solid hockey sense and skating ability.
Erik Gudbranson
Drafted third overall by the Florida Panthers in the 2010 NHL Draft, Gudbranson is a rugged, dependable defenceman known for his physicality and leadership. Over his NHL career, he has played for multiple teams including the Panthers, Canucks, Penguins, and Flames, bringing a veteran presence to every blue line. Gudbranson’s toughness, shot-blocking ability, and playoff experience make him a reliable force on the ice.
Jack McBain
Drafted 63rd overall by the Minnesota Wild in the 2018 NHL Draft, is a promising forward known for his size and two-way play. After a successful collegiate career at Boston College, where he was a standout player and a Hobey Baker Award nominee, McBain made his NHL debut with the Arizona Coyotes in the 2021-22 season following a trade from the Wild. His career highlights include being named to the Hockey East All-Star team and representing Canada at the 2022 Winter Olympics, where he contributed to the team’s success. McBain’s combination of physicality and skill makes him a valuable player for the Coyotes as he continues to grow in the NHL.
Liam Foudy
Drafted 18th overall by the Columbus Blue Jackets in the 2018 NHL Draft, Foudy is a speedy, versatile forward known for his breakaway ability and strong two-way play. He made his NHL debut in 2020, scoring his first goal during the Stanley Cup Playoffs and helping the Blue Jackets reach the second round. A gold medalist with Team Canada at the 2020 World Juniors, Foudy continues to bring energy, skill, and defensive reliability to the NHL level.
