Hockey Night in Brampton 2024 raises $14M for Brampton’s second hospital
A star-studded lineup took to the ice at the CAA Centre for the third annual Hockey Night in Brampton. Team Mitch Marner, coached by NHL legend Doug Gilmour, faced off against Team Max Domi, coached by NHL legend Wendel Clark, in an exhilarating charity game with proceeds benefitting the William Osler Health System. This year’s event once again supports the ongoing efforts to enhance health care services in Brampton, including the building of Brampton’s second hospital.
Jason Ward
Jason Ward is a former NHL right winger who played for several teams, including the Montreal Canadiens, New York Rangers, and Tampa Bay Lightning. He was originally drafted by the Canadiens in the first round of the 1997 NHL Entry Draft and went on to have a significant impact at both the NHL and AHL levels.

With just under a week to go until the largest charity hockey game in Canada, City of Brampton Mayor Patrick Brown is excited to announce Ryan Getzlaf will be joining the star-studded lineup for Hockey Night in Brampton 2024.
Tyson Gilmour
Tyson Gilmour, son of legendary NHL player Doug Gilmour, is carving out his own path in the world of hockey. Currently playing in the SPHL, Tyson has shown skill, hockey IQ and dedication to the game. Gilmour’s offensive abilities, combined with his work ethic, make him a formidable presence on the ice.
Zayne Parekh
Zayne Parekh is a promising young defenseman with the Saginaw Spirit in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL). With a keen sense of the game and a physical presence on the ice, he has quickly become one of the league’s rising stars.
Kris Versteeg
Kris Versteeg is a former hockey forward best known for winning two Stanley Cups with the Blackhawks in 2010 and 2015. Throughout his career, Versteeg played for several NHL teams, including the Toronto Maple Leafs, Philadelphia Flyers and Calgary Flames, amassing over 103 power play points in 643 career NHL games. After retiring from professional hockey, Versteeg has continued to stay involved in the sport, making appearances at charity events and working as a broadcaster.

A two-time Olympic gold medalist with Team Canada, Getzlaf is recognized for his dedication both on and off the ice. Getzlaf retired as one of the most respected figures in the sport, leaving behind a legacy of excellence, sportsmanship and community involvement.
