Fifth annual charity game to once again bring current and alumni hockey greats to the ice after $6.7M raised and historic $50M pledge to build Brampton’s second hospital.
BRAMPTON, ON (May 5, 2026) – Momentum is building in Brampton following a landmark year for Hockey Night in Brampton! After a sold-out arena, more than six million dollars raised and a historic $50 million pledge from the Cortellucci family, the City of Brampton invites residents and visitors to mark their calendars for the return of this signature summer event.

Set for Wednesday, August 19, 2026, at the CAA Centre, the fifth annual Hockey Night in Brampton will once again unite NHL stars, hockey legends and rising talent for an unforgettable night on the ice. Each moment on the rink drives meaningful impact, with proceeds supporting the construction of Brampton’s second hospital through the William Osler Health System Foundation.

Last year delivered a sold-out, high-energy showdown leaving fans on the edge of their seats. Team Matthews, led by Toronto Maple Leafs captain Auston Matthews and coached by Darryl Sittler, faced Team Tanev, captained by Maple Leafs defenceman Chris Tanev and coached by Wendel Clark. The all-star lineup featured Gary Roberts, Ryan Getzlaf, Curtis Joseph, Mark Giordano, Owen Nolan, Jeremy Roenick, Owen Power, Blayre Turnbull and Renata Fast. In a dramatic 10–9 finish, Team Tanev claimed victory, closing out an electric night driven by passion, pride and community spirit.
Hockey Night in Brampton continues to grow as one of Canada’s most impactful charity hockey events:
- 2025: $6.7 million raised, alongside a historic $50 million pledge from the Cortellucci family
- 2024: $14 million raised, including a $12 million contribution from The Carangle Corporation (Greenpark Group)
- 2023: $1 million raised for Osler, plus $100,000 for the John Tavares Foundation
