Hockey Hall of Famer joins a growing lineup of hockey greats supporting Brampton’s second hospital
BRAMPTON, ON (July 20, 2026) – Hockey Night in Brampton is welcoming Edmonton Oilers legend Paul Coffey to the ice for this year’s charity game.
Coffey brings even more star power to the CAA Centre. They join previously announced NHL alumni Joe Kocur, Ryan Getzlaf and Cody Hodgson, current NHL stars Dylan Strome and Owen Power, and coaches Doug Gilmour, Wendel Clark and Gary Roberts.

Each year, Hockey Night in Brampton turns a summer evening into a citywide show of support, drawing NHL alumni, current players, local leaders, sponsors and residents to help advance Brampton’s second hospital through the William Osler Health System Foundation.

Paul Coffey
A four-time Stanley Cup champion and three-time James Norris Memorial Trophy winner, Paul Coffey is widely recognized as one of the greatest defencemen in NHL history. Drafted sixth overall by the Edmonton Oilers in 1980, Coffey helped the team win three Stanley Cups before capturing another championship with the Pittsburgh Penguins in 1991. He recorded 1,531 points over 21 NHL seasons, ranking second all-time in career points among NHL defencemen. Coffey was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2004.
