Currently a defenceman for the Tampa Bay Lightning, Darren made his NHL debut in 2021 and has since become a reliable two-way blueliner. In the 2023–24 season, he played 73 games, notching 25 points and earning top-four minutes in Tampa’s defensive rotation. Darren was undrafted but earned his place through strong showings in the AHL and OHL, where he won the Max Kaminsky Trophy as the OHL’s Defenceman of the Year in 2016–17.
