Mitch Marner

Mitch Marner was drafted No. 4 by the Toronto Maple Leafs in 2015. Marner made the NHL All-Rookie team in 2016-17 with 61 points, helping the Leafs reach the playoffs for the first time since 2013. He continued to excel, reaching career highs in the 2018-19 season with 94 points (26 goals, 68 assists). Marner earned a spot in the 2020 NHL All-Star Game and finished the season with 67 points in 59 games.

In the 2021-22 season, Marner scored 97 points in 72 games, contributing to the Leafs’ record-setting 50 wins and 106 points. He broke a franchise record with a 23-game point streak in 2022 and reached the 500-point milestone in his 467th game, the second fewest in team history. Marner finished the 2022-23 season with a career-high 99 points, averaging 21:17 of ice time and leading Maple Leafs forwards in takeaways and blocked shots. His defensive prowess earned him his first nomination for the Selke Award.
