It’s an exciting time for health care in Brampton. Preliminary site work is underway on the new Peel Memorial Hospital – a significant project that will bring Peel’s nearly 100-year legacy into the future with the construction of a 250-bed, multi-storey patient tower with room to grow, new and expanded outpatient services, and Brampton’s second 24/7 Emergency Department.

The new Peel Memorial will bring a significant boost in services for patients in Brampton, and will be larger than many other community hospitals in Ontario. This project will also create hundreds of new jobs, supporting the local economy and enabling innovative new partnerships.

Osler is currently proceeding through the required stages of clinical planning and approvals with the Ministry of Health and Infrastructure Ontario, while pre-construction site activity continues. Throughout Spring and Summer 2023, Osler will engage residents to gather input on the new hospital’s look, feel and function, and to provide updates on this vital project. Building the new Peel Memorial Hospital represents an exciting step forward for health care in Brampton, and will help increase hospital and health care capacity in our community for years to come.
